Jack’s Story

Meet Jack, also known as Sweet Baby Jack if you follow his diary on our Facebook page. Jack is a boxer hound mix approximately 8 months old now looking for his forever hoomans.

Jack was found clinging to life the last week in June in Gilmer County. Brought immediately to VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital in Ellijay, Jack spent 10 days there in ICU. Jack moved to a foster home on July 9th and has made a miraculous recovery. Weighing only 14 pounds on July 9th, Jack is now an active healthy 40 pounds.

Jack enjoys long walks in the woods, snuggling on the couch and entertains himself with squeaky toys. Jack gets along with the other dogs in his foster home and would need to meet any future siblings to ensure a good fit. Jack is 100% crate trained. Jack is learning his manners in his foster home and would benefit from obedience training.

Jack will be fully vaccinated and neutered before final adoption.
