If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be your ride-or-die, 5 year old, 64 pound Hooch is your guy. He’s a total sweetheart who lives for car rides, belly rubs, and being wherever you are. He’s happiest when he can follow you around the house, curl up nearby, and remind you that you’re his whole world.

Hooch is super friendly—he loves people and gets along great with other dogs. No cats for Hooch, though. He’s got a soft spot for tennis balls and chew toys (though fair warning: those don’t last long in his paws).

Now, he’s not a fan of being left alone or kenneled—it really stresses him out. That’s why he’s hoping for a home where someone’s around most of the time. If you work from home or are retired, he’d love to be your full-time Velcro dog.

He’s house-trained once he learns your routine, and he already knows sit, stay, lay down, and shake. Give him a few days to decompress and learn the ropes, and you’ll have a loyal, easygoing companion.

Gentle Yoshi is a sweet approximately 2 year old, 53 pound mixed breed male.

Like many of our shy-ish dogs, he truly comes alive in the company of other dogs. Yoshi loves play group! He is getting the hang of leash walking, and is always up for a cuddle with staff and volunteers.

While Yoshi might look like a tough guy with his beefy build, he's the sweetest boy and he makes the cutest grunts when he kicks his legs. We love him!

Where is Joe’s hero? Come on, y’all!

Joe is a neutered, vaccinated 39 pound, approximately 2 year old very lovable Treeing Walker Coonhound/Mountain Cur/Rat Terrier mix!

Joe has some quirks and he needs an owner who will take the time to understand him and respect his body language, just like the loyal group of volunteers who absolutely adore this good boy. He has his own fan club who love playing with him and taking him on long walks in the woods so he can sniff to his heart’s content!

Joe is joyful, with soulful brown eyes which he will fix on you while he wags his tail. He cuddles, he’s playful, and loves to go on walks. He’s happy to lay in the sun and chew on his stuffies after splashing around in the kiddie pool. 

Please, someone come get this guy. We think, if he were in a quieter place, he wouldn’t be so amped up and would be a fine companion. He will thrive in a home with a fenced yard. He's a hound after all! No cats for Joe, though.

Oscar is an estimated two year old, 50 pound sweetheart of a pup. He's very handsome and has the softest fur! He is absolutely one of our "why is this awesome dog still here?" pups.

He is vaccinated, neutered, and will be micro-chipped with his adoption. Oscar has made lots of friends in the play yard, is good with pretty much every dog he meets, and he has a ball with the puppies. His signature move is laying on his belly and crawling to you. It's adorable.

He loves people and his afternoon enrichment one on one time with our volunteers is his favorite. He’s a playful boy, and he's also good on a leash. Total package!

Fitz is an estimated 4.5 year old, 74 mixed breed male who is vaccinated, neutered, and his bags are packed.

Fitz spreads sunshine with his happy demeanor and sweet smile. He gently requests hugs and is a real love whose signature move is flopping down on his back and wiggling around. Fitz is gentle when meetings kids, and is a pretty chill dude who is house trained, crate trained, and ready to settle in at his forever home.

Fitz recently finished HW treatment, and is back at the shelter, ready to go home!

This is what his foster mom learned about what he likes:
1) He loves to be outside, not necessary to play but to listen and observe. Sniffing when on his walk is super important, more than the distance.
2) He loves collagen sticks for chewing.
3) He’s grown to look for his crate lick mat. I use plain Greek nonfat yogurt and plain peanut butter. He devours it.
4) He loves people. He would be content just sitting near me getting pets, brushed and belly rubs.

Darling Dollie!

Darling Dollie is an approximately 12 month old, 32 pound mixed breed sweetheart.

Our Dollie is a little shy at times. She just needs someone to be willing to sit with her so she can relax, and then she'll happily be your pal and take all of the loving you want to give her!

Mama T! Tashina came into the shelter from a neglect situation with four puppies in tow. Thankfully, one of our amazing fosters opened their home to this sweet mama and she and her puppies are now in great shape and ready for adoption!

Say hello to Kora, an estimated 5 year old, 73 pound lovable Velcro dog who’s never met a stranger! Kora is the ultimate snugler — she’s happiest curled up next to her humans, soaking up all the love she can get.

Kora is dog-friendly and enjoys having canine pals to hang out with, but she’s a firm no when it comes to cats or kittens. She has a playful spirit and absolutely LOVES her toys — especially the squeaky ones! She's house trained and uses a doggie door like a pro. Kora is also working hard on her manners, especially her tendency to counter surf (what can she say, she’s curious!).

After being a loving mama to six adorable puppies, Kora is ready for some me time in her forever home. She’s a bit of an explorer, so she’ll do best in a home with a higher fence to keep her safe.
