Durango’s Story

This big boy is a happy, 2-year-old blue pit who came to the shelter as a stray.  He is learning how to walk on a leash although he definitely prefers to be unrestrained & able to roam around inside a fenced in area.  He seems to be ok with other dogs, although he would need to be tested with any potential housemates.  Durango is not a dog who can thrive in a shelter environment.  He’s too big for a small cage and the stresses of being confined are getting to him.  He freezes up as soon as he realizes he’s being returned to his kennel space, demonstrating how desperately he wants and needs out of there.  We feel the same way and want him out too!  He’s a gorgeous pibble who would be best served with an owner willing to work with him and teach him proper manners as a big, strong, lovable boy.
